Piano Lessons
With more than nine years of professional piano teaching experience, Siyu is committed to developing each student's pianistic technique, musicianship, sight-reading, and theory across all levels, from beginner to diploma level. Siyu’s lessons are tailored to each individual, targeted to advance on classical piano, theory, aural studies, or piano for leisure. Her students achieve success in ABRSM examinations, competitions, and performances, and gain a lifelong love of music.
Siyu completed a Master of Music with First Class Honours in Piano Performance under the tutelage of the world-renowned pedagogy teacher Rae de Lisle. She was awarded a Artist Master of Performance and Artist Diploma with Distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she studied with internationally renown professors Ronan O'Hora and Carole Presland.
She is a major prize winner in international competitions, receiving first prize in Guildhall Romantic Prize, second prize in the Bromsgrove International Music Competition, special Overseas Award as a finalist in the Royal OverSeas League International Competition, and fourth prize in the Lev Vlassenko International Competition.

Policy for Private Lessons
PIANO: All students are advised to have an acoustic or digital piano at home. When a student progresses to early intermediate levels, acoustic pianos are preferred.
CANCELLATION: To respect my time, I operate a strict 24hr cancellation policy. If you need to cancel within the 24 hours leading to your scheduled lesson, I will charge the full amount for the lesson as if it did take place. Lessons missed by the student within 24hrs are not made-up by the teacher.
PAYMENT: Tuition is paid by weekly or monthly, or as agreed upon by the teacher.
MATERIALS: Parents are responsible for purchasing books required for the lesson.
PARENTAL SUPPORT: All parents are welcome to sit in on private lessons with young beginning students, but it is important the parents do not interrupt the lessons.
SUMMER LESSONS: Summer lessons are available and strongly advised, but not compulsory.
